In 2003, I was arrested in Indiana for a crime I did not commit. I spent 2 years in jail before I was exonerated and freed. This is my story.

When I was 19 years old, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I had surgery to remove the tumor and was given a fair chance at a full recovery. However, months after my surgery, I started having seizures that didn’t stop. I was told that due to the size of my tumor, it may have caused my epilepsy. My doctors put me on medication to control my seizures and warned me that if my tumor grew larger, they may need to surgically remove it again.

I am writing to tell my story of what happened to me while I was in the state of Indiana. I was a victim of domestic violence and it ruins your life. It makes you feel like the world is against you and that no one will help you. The police do nothing and the courts always side with the abuser.
